Poetic Expression

‘Almost’ – an adverb that is used in relation to so many actions and instances; providing a sense of or feeling around many different emotions and possibilities.

‘Foreign’ – what does this conjure for you? It can relate to so many things and this week’s poems showed just that. It certainly led to a range of discussions around some very current topics and themes.

‘Winter’ – we are in the middle of it, so a good one for us in South Australia. So many mixed feelings about what this season brings.

‘Food’ – where does it take you? I’m sure food can take us on so many journeys, and it certainly did just that.

‘Shelf ‘ – so many feelings and possibilities when you let this word settle in you. The great thing is with a word like this, is that it can take you to discover you hadn’t felt or noticed before.

‘Comic ‘ – there are different ways of using the word. This week our expressions were around the comic book, and there were lots of themes that emerged.

‘Suddenly ‘ – what a great word! Where does suddenly take you? Perhaps you have used it to describe something that happened?

Deja vu – Has it happened to you? So many examples of this incredible sensation common to many. So much to wonder about. It lead us into different situations and here are our expressions.

‘Kingdom’ – a word that for many conjures an array of feelings that stem from what we have experienced in our lives.

‘Native’ – the place or environment in which a person was born or a thing came into being. So what does that really conjure in the world we live in today.

‘Discipline’: Used as noun or a verb, seen as help or a hindrance, recognised as for its strength or vulnerability.How do you view it?

‘Green’ – so refreshing! For many of us it felt that way, however once again, some different angles, all very insightful and entertaining, and even fun!
