This Real Time Heart Based project, walk and talk, is about getting out in nature to enjoy interesting conversation, meet new people, move your body, learn and share ideas with others in a non judgemental, and caring environment.
Currently we have a walk and talk in Adelaide. If you’d like to deliver a walk and talk in this way for your local community, feel free to let us know so we can add it to our calendar to help inform others who might be interested.
Walk and Talk – City of Adelaide (COA)
About this COA walk and talk
Gloria, Tricia and Nigel, meet each fortnight on a Sunday at 9am (in winter and 8:30am in summer) between 2 locations; Frome Road roundabout near the zoo, for a walk along the river. Glen Osmond Road, South Terrace end, near Marshmallow Park for a wetland walk. (See our event calendar here and join our Walk and Talk Face Book page here)
The whole experience usually takes up about 2 hours (or as long as you choose) including a coffee stop to end if you wish
Sometimes we do other locations in between which we announce on our event calendar and our Facebook page.
If you choose to ‘walk and talk’…
- feel free to bring a friend(s)
- bring your own personal items eg. water, snacks, masks, medications
- wear appropriate walking and protective gear
- engage based on your own fitness level and health condition
This is not a supervised, guided, managed or registered walk, rather a casual opportunity to get together for well-being benefits.
There is no need to book, there is no fee, there is no monthly commitment. We leave on the ‘dot’, so let us know if you are running late.
In the spirit of the Real Time Heart Based Community, we ask that where possible, you gift a non perishable pantry item/s or personal care item/s to add to the Share Care Box, located at start of the walk. We pass on donated items to organisations supporting people currently facing tough times.
