Whose Voice Is It?
In the silence
Discomfort arrived
Heavy and laden
Out to dampen
My mood my moment
At first it was unclear
It was not near
Like it arrived
Through a thick tunnel of time
Difficult to define
Yet a familiar kind
Slowly words emerged
Not in a surge
Rather in whispers of meanings
Leaving me believing
Stories from the past
Taking on prime time
Seeing how long it would last
Before breaking the spell
From what found its way in
And created a spin
Only time will tell…
This time though
I was ready to show…
That I was onto it!
Like a tug of war
A suction to my core
To another space
A place with a gap
Releasing my body from the trap
I jumped up and began to run
Until I felt the fun
Of life again
