Inner Burn
Is it the churn
That creates the burn?
Is it the stories we are reading
That’s leaving us seething?
The ouch from the sting
This is painfully hurting!
What is happening around us
Seems we can no longer trust
What we hear and see
Of what may or may not be
Tech companies and governments with little care
Cleverly delude… we’re no long aware
Is it real?
Or just a deal?
Can we ever steal ourselves
away from this horrid appeal?
This game
That’s filled with shame
Is there somewhere else to go
To stop this type of show
And not be blind
To bring what is kind
To wake up and realise
That a life on this planet…

Have you ever experienced this?
People you cared stopped replying to you and disappeared in your life
Heartbroken, lonely and empty
What can you do now?
Write a letter
But instead of sending it out
You burn it
In that way
You let go of your emotions
And have a closure
I will give it a try.
