There is an echo so loudÂ
Coming from the crowdÂ
Commenting on matters so wideÂ
Moving like a tideÂ
Free to wander
As you ponderÂ
Creating a ripple
Out to crippleÂ

Mother’s Voice
She frolicked in a stream of natureÂ
Light seeping through the canopy of treesÂ
With colourful autumn leavesÂ
Arching over a dense arrayÂ
Of wildflowers grasses and shrubsÂ
That formed an intriguing maizeÂ
Blended with butterflies and birdsÂ
Distracted and in a complete dazeÂ
She squealed freelyÂ
Singing cheerilyÂ
Before longÂ
She had wandered far…
And it was only the distant echoÂ
Of her mother’s voiceÂ
That led her back homeÂ

This looks nice nice nice
Oh look at the price price price
As I stroll around the store
I just cannot ignore
The thoughts in my mind
That confuse me to find
The perfect special giftÂ
Look at that nice hat hat hat
I wonder if she would like that
Oh that gorgeous scarf scarf scarf
Love the colour, would she?
Now gloves would be handy
Wool or leather would be her choiceÂ
A gift voucher please
Now that’s my choice
As I wander from the store
With relief, this echo I can now ignore
