School Pick-up
I sat waiting
Under a tree
Feeling the sun
Wrapping its rays
Around me
Lured by the breeze
I immersed
With such ease
Breathing into an ocean
Away from the commotion
Of kids voices
Laughter and chatter
It didn’t seem to matter
As I dropped further down
into the stillness of time
Too difficult to define
How incredibly sublime
This feeling of forever
Beyond the usual pleasure
Broken only by a roar
Coming through the classroom door

Look, You are so pretty, so graceful.
From a distance, your beauty glows—
