What are we doing?
There is an echo so loud
Coming from the crowd
Commenting on matters so wide
Moving like a tide
Free to wander
As you ponder
Creating a ripple
Out to cripple
The crime
Of wasted time

Mother’s Voice
She frolicked in a stream of nature
Light seeping through the canopy of trees
With colourful autumn leaves
Arching over a dense array
Of wildflowers grasses and shrubs
That formed an intriguing maize
Blended with butterflies and birds
Distracted and in a complete daze
She squealed freely
Singing cheerily
Before long
She had wandered far…
And it was only the distant echo
Of her mother’s voice
That led her back home

This looks nice nice nice
Oh look at the price price price
As I stroll around the store
I just cannot ignore
The thoughts in my mind
That confuse me to find
The perfect special gift
Look at that nice hat hat hat
I wonder if she would like that
Oh that gorgeous scarf scarf scarf
Love the colour, would she?
Now gloves would be handy
Wool or leather would be her choice
A gift voucher please
Now that’s my choice
As I wander from the store
With relief, this echo I can now ignore
