Karaoke…
We all followed
the bouncy ball
Singing our hearts out
Feeling ten feet tall…
Not a care in the world
Just the joy of the sound
Even though some notes
Couldn’t be found!
It didn’t seem to matter
In amongst all the chatter
Because others like me
Just wanted to feel free
And with each new verse
Our voices became louder
And seemed to get worse
As we got prouder!
As the songs unraveled
It felt like we had traveled
Somewhere else that night
What an absolute delight
Though the next day I must say
I had no vivid recollection
Of the trance like spell
That did my heart and spirit well…

The Last Verse
My mind is feeling bouncy
From one side to another
Now my head is in a spin
I just can’t win
Seeing a scene so vivid
At times it makes me livid
That at this stage
I just can’t put words to paper
Maybe they will arrive later
So for now this is my last verse
