Past hurts, and ways we have come to behave in relationships, can affect the quality of our engagement and often can create situations that can harm both parties involved. 

What do you do when friends don’t contact you and you feel upset. Nigel and Tricia share a heart-based approach to explore.

So often we hear or say ourselves, ‘I’m so busy’ in a way that suggests we’re missing out on something else more important because of it.
If that is the case, rather than ‘so busy’, how would it feel to respond with ‘I’m giving my energy and time to what matters and is important to me’? 

While finding meaning can have its benefits, creating meaning also comes with some challenges.
Meaning as we know is derived from our lived experience, and as we all experience life differently, finding common meaning, is less likely. 

In this podcast we share our view on the nature of rules we have come to live by, and the impact of those rules when we come to experience life and engage in things. 

We thought we’d share a discussion around the nature of the learning, and how it is possible to actually walk away with a learning that may not be beneficial to you, or may limit your growth in some way. 

There is a lot of talk about what we need to do to be happy, successful, wealthy and the list goes on. 
So often there are lists from research or what others have found worked for them, and in many instances, people try to follow some of those things in the hope they too will get the same results.
We have found, in so many instances, it actually leads to the opposite, as often they feel alien or even too difficult to engage or uphold.  

We explored the limitations that comes with more fixed approach to beliefs and chatted about how when open to see things differently, ‘emerging truths’ unfold, and old beliefs and positions may not be relevant or continued to be upheld. 

Trust is a word often used, and we thought we’d have a conversation around how we see it in terms of a heart based living approach. 
As trust often revolves around what we believe, it becomes clear how we can gain or lose trust, as our many life experiences has us all with varied beliefs in a broad range of areas. 

In life, we are regularly caught up in systems that are meant to be helpful however often lack the flexibility and capability to accommodate unique and specific needs. 
Help is often provided with politeness, doing things with a smile, adhering to protocols however the systems themselves often lack a human approach. 
People are looking to be truly heard and understood,  as often life issues are more complex, not straight forward.

The COVID pandemic, has hugely impacted our lives; for many due to loss of loved ones, businesses and livelihoods, the anxiety and stress from uncertainty and disruption, the overwork and ongoing threats in various occupations, the injustice of who survives on many levels, including financially.  
It has impacted us all in different ways. 
In this podcast we explore the nature of heart-based as governments look to move on and tackle the economic issues due to the COVID and other disasters happening around the world. 

This podcast explores the notion of what is seen as ‘normal’. 
Nigel and Tricia, explores how the belief that ‘everyone is doing it’ can often lures us to engage in things that may not actually be good for us, or what we truly want.  
With heart based living, it is about discovering what actually feels right for you, your authentic self and may involve moving against the ‘norm’.
Discovering your why’s, may help you navigate through these challenges and dilemmas and lead to greater and deeper self care for the long term.
