This program, is designed to elevate your connection with your heart, where the emotions you experience, can positively guide you towards choices leading to wellbeing, fulfilment and happiness.

There is a strong body of research behind this program and approach. It includes heart coherence where positive emotions can lead to improved functioning of the whole self (heart, mind, body, spirit).

According to HeartMath (https://www.heartmath.com):
‘Tuning into your heart’s wisdom creates a profound shift within that helps you approach situations with more emotional balance, compassion, clarity and personal confidence.’

Holonomics plays a vital role in heart-based leadership, as it is about understanding the collective contributions of individuals to their community/organisation. It utilises adaptive leadership to make the most of each person.
Holonomics stimulates leaders to understand:

a) their systems as organic and dynamic interrelated units,

b) to appreciate the lived experience of each person (students, parents,
employees, the school community),

c) how shared meaning emerges in the organisation over time allowing it to become agile, efficient and transparent, and

d) how human values are the basis for authenticity, agility, and change within an organisation (Robinson and Moraes Robinson, 2014).

There is research which looks at: ‘Does self-improvement explain well-being in life and at workplace? Analysis based on selected measures of well-being’: Where two studies were performed to test the relationship between readiness for self-improvement (consisting of two components: readiness to improve oneself and readiness to take care of one’s health) and selected measures of well-being. The first study investigated whether readiness for self-improvement is related to the selected measures of overall subjective well-being (or life satisfaction). The second one investigated in what way readiness for self-improvement is related to subjective well-being at workplace (or work engagement). The results obtained in both cases showed that readiness for self-improvement is indeed related to and does account for well-being. In the first study, readiness for self-improvement (i.e. readiness to improve oneself) accounted for overall life satisfaction within important human life domains and satisfaction with the present and future life. In the second study, work engagement, was significantly linked to readiness to improve oneself but was not with readiness to take care of one’s health (see https://www.researchgate.net/publication/262524192_Does_self-improvement_explain_well-being_in_life_and_at_workplace_Analysis_based_on_selected_measures_of_well-being as of 20/Aug/2022)

It is worth noting that research and statistics on mental health, domestic abuse, self-harm, drug/alcohol use etc. is informing us of the prevalence of what is impacting individuals in our communities.
This program guides people towards their own discovery around their wellbeing, fulfilment and happiness, which can lead them to accessing the specific and additional support they need.

All information and outcome data gathered throughout the questionnaires, reflections and expression, are personal and anecdotal, i.e. the evidence is based on each person’s own lived experience.

Over time, it is less about reporting on individual moments in time, rather reflective of an inner capacity to feel self-dependent in more moments, situations and life, to the choices that lead to better wellbeing, fulfilment and happiness, as well as learning outcomes.

The intention is to:

Find the Self:
connect with the feelings, senses and intuition, discover purpose, and how to self-care and become more kind, adaptive and creative

Learn the Way:
make choices that lead to improved wellbeing, fulfilment and happiness, and towards improved relationships, educational outcomes, and positive and caring contributions towards a thriving school community

Discover the Way for the School and its Community:
Transform, become a more caring, adaptive, innovative and flourishing community.
support each person’s ongoing journey of personal improvement, to build their capacity to bring more of themselves, their strengths, ideas and caring, to respond to what matters in real time, to benefit the school community.

Real Time Heart-Based (RTHB) provides programs, community projects and events and support/guidance. It was co-founded by Tricia LaBella and Nigel Stedman, who share a vision of everyone finding their hearts and experiencing their authentic selves to bring lasting peace and inner contentment. While their journey led them on different challenges and paths, they come together with this common vision. Based upon research and many natural universal laws and their own lived experiences, they share this unique approach for people to strike their own path towards personal fulfilment, wellbeing and happiness. They too continue with their own practice for ongoing improvement in all aspects of their lives

About Tricia:

‘I come from an education background as a senior lecturer and course developer at TAFESA, with experience in teaching, counselling, positive psychology, health, fitness &, wellbeing coaching. This combined with my personal life situations, including a cancer diagnosis in 2006, and life journey as a parent and grand-parent, has helped me to discover a simple truth about feeling truly happy and successful; it begins with choice and that is often the most challenging and counterintuitive part of the shift’

About Nigel:

‘I have a wide range of professional experience in leadership, governance, consulting, and improvement in over 500 organisations, large and small. Coupled with my tertiary studies, I have identified what makes organisations successful and how to create the best environment for a sustainable and flourishing organisation. I have discovered what truly matters and what makes a difference..’

‘Together, we have combined our lived experiences to create a unique program that reaches people at all levels and makes a real difference to the environment, the whole school community and other stakeholders. The program has been proven to have a significant and transformative impact. It is also supported by an abundance of interrelated research.’

We hope you will have a chat with us about how it can make a difference in your school and community. Our warm regards Tricia and Nigel’
